BF6 BR Mode Arrives This Week as a Free-to-Play Game Mode

After months of rumors, the battle royale game type for Battlefield 6 is at last releasing. The latest speculation claiming its debut would align with the first season were true. Fans can jump into the gameplay starting in just a day.

Launch Season Adding a Brand-New Arena, Style, and Arsenal

Alongside the BR release, the new season is also starting. It introduces a brand-new arena, a additional style, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. An embedded preview will become available at go-live, providing players a glimpse of what's to come.

Free-to-Play Access Makes Battle Royale Available to All

Perhaps the most significant detail is that the battle royale mode will be F2P. Similar to popular titles, you do not need to own the original Battlefield 6 to participate. A number of players have already tested pre-release builds of the experience. These trials were conducted in a collaborative space, which the developers described as their most ambitious community collaboration project.

The adrenaline rush when facing enemy players is unmatched in different battle royale. It seems do or die, and you actually care if you make it or not.
Although I was a skeptic previously, I'm fully for the new mode now that I've experienced it.

These first feedback from testers have been very positive. Of course, the experience may have been adjusted over the past month or two in terms of balancing and tempo. However, initial indicators are strong that this new mode could become a true rival to leading games. Many are hoping that the top weapons from the main game will carry over in the battle royale.
