Ex- Physician Charged with Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities report that a ex- doctor has been charged with performing assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.

The Grave Allegations

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.

One deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Investigation

The charges come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.

Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

List of Offences

The charging documents said the 45 charges he is charged with:

  • 15 counts of assault.
  • Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
  • Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
  • 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
  • One count of attempted penetrative assault.

Police have asked anyone with concerns to contact the relevant police force.
