The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a interpretation of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and animated series.

Escola joins a number of fresh additions set to bring the group to the screen, including head Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the story’s structure.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. Besides their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
